I’m posting this photo because of its NASA caption; I bolded my favorite part. “The prime pilots selected for the first manned flight of NASA’s Project Gemini undergo a flight test profile in a mockup Gemini Spacecraft. Visible in the spacecraft are astronauts Virgil I. Grissom…, GT-III command pilot, and John W. Young, Pilot. MDAC, St. Louis, MO. (Most popular GT-III photograph)” NASA rarely editorializes in their photo captions, but apparently this photo was so popular that they made a special note of it. I can’t blame them; I really like the photo, too.
